How and Why You Should Help #bringbrandohome

This is a place where we can put the story of Brandon Duran and Little Brando and their battles with the Oklahoma justice system.

It will take me a while to organize all of the data and news resources I have accumulated over the past two years, so please be patient - I want this page to be reader-friendly. We ask that you help spread the word to #bringbrandohome - we are trying to get our local media to pick up this story, and we need YOUR help.

Most people know about the tragic events involving our loved one, Brandon Duran, but what's not in the media is the ongoing custody battle of Brandon's son, Brando. When Brandon Duran was alive, he had full physical and sole custody of his son, Brando. Brando and him went everywhere together. Brandon was his son's hero
After August 7 2012, Brando was taken into the custody of Department of Human Services in Oklahoma and put into a foster home until guardianship could be established. After fighting tooth and nail with the court system, in January 2013 Brando was allowed to come back to San Diego to live with his grandmother (Brandon's mother), Cyndi.
Cyndi was awarded temporary guardianship; the family has been in an going legal battle to keep Brando home, where he belongs.
In the midst of this custody  battle, another child was born to Brando's mother with the possibility of it being Brandon's as well...
We are asking for your help, Cyndi and her family is fighting tooth and nail to keep this little boy in the right place and unfortunately the legal fees are piling up month by month. Any small donation helps to bring the lawyer fees down.

UPDATES:
Since this page was last updated, Brando has been taken back into the custody of DHS. We've skyped with him once although it is court ordered to happen 3 times a week. We are in debt to our lawyers in OK in excess of $10,000. We don't know the location of whereabouts of Brando's foster home in Oklahoma, or if he's even doing well.
As of July 7,2014, this has not changed; We (Garrett, Cyndi, and Aida) are in Oklahoma for the murder trial. We have called numerous times to the DHS office to be able to see Brando, and we have not received a call back.
